As much as I don’t want to speak ill of the fandom. There are people in the fandom who would stop in nothing to force their ships to others and are obviously quite rude about it. It’s just not happening here. Many posts on this site have a huge chain of arguments because of shipping. It is inevitable with such a huge fandom like MLP. Even the Avatar fandom has fanatic shippers, trust me, I’ve seen them. But I guess it’s really not as bad as those other examples you’ve showed.  
As a person who never take shipping seriously, I really don’t understand people who do. I mean they’re not even real. Why would people get so worked up over romances that don’t exist?

I love these comments. And this is why I love this fandom. We have some of the most wholesome shipping community on the internet… and I don’t want to point fingers but RWBY, Steven Universe, My Hero Academia, She-Ra can learn or thing or two here
