IMO that would not solve anything. “Salmacian” seems to be an obscure identity term, and we’re better off not appropriating it for what is, in vast majority, pure fetish fantasy. “Intersex” is not perfect either, but at least it’s well established, an understandable word even to total newcomers, and its local meaning (as in characters with various, largely imaginary, combinations of non-matching primary and secondary sexual characteristics, a la futa) and non-local meaning (as in intersex developmental conditions, a la Klinefelter’s Syndrome) are both well known enough that real mix-ups should not be an issue. It’s less than ideal, but similarly, most of the stuff tagged “lesbian” on this site has nothing to do with RL lesbianism and everything to do with male-gazey fantasy. And don’t get me started on the occupation tags lol.
There is ongoing work “in the staff room” to devise an improved system to tag sex, gender, and orientation. I don’t expect any major changes to be made to the related tags unless it’s to introduce and implement that system.
