Unpopular opinion time

The difference is now that the main show Make Your Mark is over, it feels like nothing can bring my interest back up anymore. Tell Your Tale feels so faint with its short runtime and bi-weekly releases. I feel like MLP did officially end and I might as well go with it.

Who knows? Maybe the next TYT episode would be extra special enough to bring me back. We’ll see…

Well just because G5 isn’t working out the way it was intended doesn’t mean that the My Little Pony franchise as a whole is gonna crash and burn. The franchise was at an all-time low at one point with MLP Newborn Cuties and was hated by pretty much everybody and the future was bleak until Lauren Faust arrived and kicked down the door and presented her idea for the franchise and that was what gave us FIM, the reason why all of us are here and why this website exists in the first place. When the sixth generation most likely arrives, it could bring back a return to form for it, or not we can only wait and see.

But if you feel like your time with MLP has passed and want to move on, then that’s your decision, I don’t want to make you feel some type of way.

As nice as G4 was I kind of hope when we get G6 we see a return to the more 80s fantasy style that was the original G1. Kind of like Mystery Incorporated was back in 2011.

FIM is awesome. But I can tell it was definitely more its own thing and not a faithful retelling of the original show.

Like I would love to see a return of that human girl, or all the weird creatures there. And to see ponies that actually look horselike. And a whole bunch of nature. I think it could have a cozy feel.

I can’t really comment much since I never watched too much G1 but I think it would be a nice break from the more modern style G4 and G5.

As long as the success doesn’t go full Mighty Morphin’ for the brand, I don’t see why G6 can’t work like that.

How much longer is G5 going for?

Hasbro is not good. It can’t make good things. MLP is a fluke. Don’t invest in new slop. Create good things.

Well look at The Simpsons, the first 9 seasons are considered the pinnacle of the series while anything afterwards is widely dismissed by fans

Princess Cadence is the second-best alicorn in G4.

I’m honestly not sure where the line between the two is. But Cadence seems to make sensible decisions. She’s somewhat capable of defending herself and her subjects. And she and Luna help Twilight clean up the mess created by the Inspiration Manifestation spell.

Honestly, agreed. She’s close to Twilight for me. She’s easier to “get” than Celestia, and she has that nice air of interpretability.

Cadance also is notable for being the only one in the Movie who didn’t seem to have a negative IQ play, because she only fell because she tried to protect the others, had zero way of knowing Tempest brought hax. The others could teleport, but did not.

She looks better than Celestia in action scenes, as far as the show typically portrayed, in all honesty.

Good to know Celestia hate is stronger than ever in the year 2024
